Printed Work

Due to Covid-19, the specialty printing facilities of Parsons School of Design closed shortly after the start of the spring 2020 semester. After being forced to move online, our hands-on screen printing class shifted our focus to the planning and iterative processes that precede physical printing. Yvonne intends to make her way back to a printing studio one day to revisit her works in progress, whenever it becomes safe to do so.

“My mother has always been tough on us
It’s why I am the way I am today & I’m forever grateful.
She teaches me to fight for myself & to fight hard, to be strong and always keep going.
Food is her love language and I think lemons have to be one of her favorite fruits

My mother is an immigrant from Taipei and I know she loves other more exotic fruits like passion fruit and mangos,
but I can’t remember a time when there wasn’t homemade honey lemon concentrate in the fridge.
So much of her love goes into making that concentrate

I think lemons have to be one of my mother’s favorite fruits, so they’re one of my favorite fruits too.”
